Obituary for Grace A. Schurr

Grace A (nee Riggs) Schurr, 86, of Aldan, PA, formerly of Havertown died December 17, 2017 at Delaware County Memorial Hospital.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, she had formerly been a long time resident of Havertown before moving to Aldan 7 years ago. A graduate of Germantown High School, class of '49, she had been a Homemaker and had at one time worked as a secretary for Atlantic Richfield and for the Clover Store.

Grace was a member of Springfield Baptist Church who enjoyed crocheting and was an avid reader. Grace was an accomplished cook and baker. She was a former member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church in Havertown, where she sang in the choir. A caring and generous person, her most precious time was spent with family. Wife of the late Robert C. Schurr who died in 1992, 

Survivors: include her  Daughter, Diane Tyson, Son, Eric Schurr, Grandchildren, Jonathan & Grace Tyson and sister, Alice Bowman.

Service: Memorial Service will be 11 AM Thurs, December 21, 2017 at the Springfield Baptist Church

Visitation: 10 am at Church

Contributions: in her memory to Springfield Baptist Church 184 N. Norwinden Dr. Springfield, PA 19064, would be preferred
