Obituary for Joseph J. Kady

Joseph J. Kady, 76, of Springfield, PA, died November 9, 2017 at Kindred Hospital.

Born and raised in SW Philadelphia, he was a graduate of West Catholic High School, class of ‘59. Joe worked for the Atlantic Refinery in their corporate office for over 25 years.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and following his discharge returned to school, earning his Bachelor's Degree from St. Joseph's University. After retiring from Atlantic, he worked as a Building Manager for Fidelity Bank (First Union and Wachovia) for almost 10 years.

Joe, married to the former Miriam Rhodes enjoyed taking cruises, was an avid football fan and spending time in Brigantine, NJ. The master of corny jokes, he bowled at Sproul Lanes and was known as "Lefty". He was very proud of his 299 game and kept striving for a perfect score. Joe followed the stock market and will be remembered for his generosity to all.

Survivors: include his wife of 45 years, Miriam (nee Rhodes); his sister, Barbara Morris (John), brother, James Kady, nieces and nephews. Service and burial will be private.

Contributions to Disabled American Vets or charity of Donor’s choice would be preferred.
