Obituary for Jocelyn E Ruff

Jocelyn E. (Heater) Ruff, 65, of Greenwich Township, formerly of Alburtis, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 in her residence. She was the widow of Ronald L. Ruff.

Born in Allentown, Jocelyn was a daughter of the late Harold and Avateen M. (Fritch) Heater.  She was Lutheran in faith. After high school, Jocelyn graduated from Empire Beauty School, Whitehall. She worked as a hairstylist at Janice Ettl, Macungie, and several other local salons. She also was employed as a Certified Nurse's Aide at ManorCare, Allentown for five years. Wherever she worked, Jocelyn was very passionate about her job. She was a people person who always putting others before herself. She was very generous with her heart, spirit and soul. Jocelyn enjoyed traveling to her condo in Florida, playing BINGO, her animals, and going to the casinos. Above all, Jocelyn was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed taking care of and spending time with her family.

Jocelyn is survived by her Children, Charity L. (Faust), wife of Steven H. Fegley, Mertztown, Tave T. Faust, Mertztown, Rondi S. (Ruff), wife of Scott M. Kratzer, Mooresville, NC, and her oldest Child, Dvonne Y. Heater, who predeceased her in 1975. She is also survived by 5 Grandchildren, Cody and Casey Walker, Seth Faust, Connor and Landon Kratzer, a Great-Grandson, Osiris Walker, Sister, Jessica (Heater), wife of Gary Geiger, Fleetwood, and a Brother, Jon, husband of Charlotte (Brooks) Heater, Mertztown.

A funeral service to celebrate Jocelyn's life will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 11:00 AM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 25 East Weis Street, Topton, PA, with Reverend David Duquette, officiating. Burial, alongside of her mother and daughter, will follow in Longswamp Union Cemetery, Mertztown. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
