Obituary for George Tippel Sr.
George Tippel Sr., age 91, passed away on September 29, 2017. Born on October 2, 1925 in Nagyszekely, Hungary, he immigrated to the U.S in 1949.
Preceded in death by his parents, George and Katherine Tippel; and sister, Katherine Folk; he is survived by his wife,
Elizabeth; daughter,
Katherine Gaug
(Richard); son, George (Cari) Tippel; grandchildren, Zachary and
Ashley; stepgrandchildren, Mariah and Marie; and three great-grandchildren, Billy,
Jackson and River.
He lived in Akron since 1949 and was a retired self-employed contractor.
Calling hours will be 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday at the Hummel Funeral Home, 500 E. Exchange St. Akron, Ohio 44304. Graveside service will take place at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Peace Cemetery
