Obituary for Nancy Mulligan

Nancy A. (Passander) Mulligan, age 95, peacefully entered into eternal rest on June 13, 2017 at Palm Springs Health Care in Palm Springs, CA. She was the beloved wife of Harold T. Mulligan. Mrs. Mulligan was born in Derby on January 11, 1922, daughter of the late Paul and Mary DiSibio Passander. A resident of Ansonia for most of her life, she moved to California in 2003. She was employed as an inspector at the former Lord Kinematics in Shelton for 15 years until her retirement in 1987. Nancy was a communicant of Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia and a member of their Rosary Guild, St. Ann's Society, Bocce League and choir. She is survived by loving daughters, Margo Sonsini (John) of Shelton and Nancie Tortora (Fred) of Palm Springs, CA, cherished grandchildren, John Sonsini (Christine) of Derby, Dawn Jones (Jesse) of NC and Stephen Sonsini (Nina) of GA, great-grandchildren, Amber, Mikayla and Olivia Jones and Addison Sonsini and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Albert, Leonard, Anthony and John Passander and sisters, Catherine Scrimenti, Lee Marino, Josephine Aldo, Louise Ciravola and Anna Passander. Relatives and friends may greet the family and pay their respects on Saturday August 26, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. At 10:30 a.m, her funeral will process to Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:45 a.m. Inurnment will immediately follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia.
