SOPHIE M. HANN
AUSTINTOWN - Sophie M. Hann, 75, passed away Monday evening, July 31, 2017, at Briarfield at Ashley Circle in Austintown, with her family by her side.
Sophie was the youngest daughter born to the late Joseph and Justina (Kolarcik) Bukovinsky on June 28, 1942, in Youngstown, and was a lifelong area resident.
Sophie was a registered nurse, having graduated with a Master’s Degree from the Youngstown Hospital School of Nursing and The Ohio State University. She had worked at St. Elizabeth Health Center, as well as a plant nurse for General Electric and Lordstown General Motors.
She was a member of St. Joseph Church in Austintown. Sophie leaves her husband, Jack K. Hann, whom she married Sept. 21, 1968; a daughter, Laura Walker; and two grandsons, Justin and Patrick of Omaha, Neb. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Stanislav; two brothers, Joe and Mike Bukovinsky. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at St. Joseph Church at 11 a.m., followed by burial at Green Haven Memorial Gardens.
