Carole J. Nevar (nee Sandstrom) age 85, beloved wife for 65 years of Arthur W.; loving mother of Lynda S. Kistler (husband John C.), Robert D. (wife Susan L.), Kenneth W., and Rod A. (wife Kate); devoted grandmother of Scott Kistler (wife Jamie), Karen Moravek (husband Wade), Brett Kistler (Annette), Brent, Katie, Tyler, Michael, Raquel, Eve and Sean Nevar and great-grandmother of Avrill, Ava, Xander, and Bennett; cherished daughter of the late Thure and Florence (nee Decker) Sandstrom; dearest sister of Kenneth Sandstrom (wife Maryanne); dear aunt and great-aunt of many.
Carole was born on January 3, 1932 in Cleveland and passed away on July 3, 2017. She was a resident of Concord for 11 years, formerly of Saybrook, Chesterland and Euclid. Carole graduated from Euclid High School in 1950 and was a homemaker. She sang in numerous church choirs and loved playing piano and singing. Carole enjoyed traveling especially to Naples, Florida and loved the beach. She loved crafts, cooking, needlepoint, and acrylic painting. Carole treasured spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered as a graceful, reserved, kind, generous and caring woman with a great sense of humor. Carole was considerate, loving, and a hard worker. She made memories for everyone and will be dearly missed.
