Obituary for Ivan Kozlevar

Ivan L. Kozlevcar "Mike" passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 25, at Carin ton Park Nursing Home in Ashtabula. He was born on March 30, 1942 to the late Joseph and Mary (nee Prelas) Kozlevcar. Ivan served in the Marines from 1960 to 1964 and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. Following his military service, he worked as an offset pressman, chef, and bartender. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, gardening, and spending time with his family. He was very proud of his Slovenian heritage. Ivan is survived by his daughter, Karen Bruno (Jason) of Rock Creek, son Thomas Kozlevcar of Cincinnati; grandchildren, Justin and Ashley Occhionero; brother, Joseph of South Euclid; and many nieces and nephews; He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary; sister, Sandra Meeker. A memorial service will be held, with Military Honors, at Western Reserve Cemetery on Monday June 19, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the Mausoleum.
