Obituary for Jack L. Marsh
Jack L. Marshwas born in Akron, Ohio on March 17,1934. He made his transition from his earthly home to his eternal home on Sunday, June 18, 2017 in the care of Wyant Woods Care Center. He was a lifetime resident of Akron, attending East High School, a veteran of the U.S. Army and was employed for many years which is known as AGC Construction Company. Jack enjoyed life tremendously and he would often be seen fishing, playing cards and bingo with his friends. He was gifted with his hands and enjoyed helping family and friends with home repairs.Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Ellison and Annie (Haston) Marsh; step-son, Garth Karl Jackson and six siblings. Jack leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 35 years, Flora L. Marsh; step-sons, Willard (Linda) Jackson Jr. and Steven (Karen) Jackson Sr.; one step-daughter, Ylanda Jackson; ten grandchildren, twenty eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; one brother, Earl (Kathlyn) Marsh; two sisters, Bobby Jean Torrence and Barbara Ann Clay all of Akron, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Home going celebration will be held on Monday, June 26, 2017 at 12 p.m. at New Mission Missionary Baptist Church, 150 Wayne Ave., Akron, Ohio 44306. Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service. Interment at Mt. Peace Cemetery. Pastor Robert H. Aaron Jr., officiant. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 242 N.
