Obituary for Julius S. Parks

Julius S. Parks, age 95, husband of Anna Lee Gattison Parks and resident of Ansonia, passed away at home on June 13 surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Anderson, South Carolina on March 24, 1922, son of the laate Julius Parks Sr. and Nellie Williford Parks.  He was a graduate of Seymour High School and a U.S. Navy Veteran. He worked as a crane operator for Farrel Co. and was a member of the Farrel Old Timer's Club.  He later worked as a bank courier.  Julius was predeceased by 15 siblings.  In addition to his wife Anna Lee, he leaves his son David Parks of Ansonia, 4 daughters, Janet Hawkes of Ansonia, Barbara Parks of West Haven, Judith Parks Morgan (Guy) of Waterbury, Elisabeth Johnson (Michael) of South Windsor, CT and 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a host of nieces & nephews.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 20th at 11:00 a.m. from The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia, CT.  Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.  Friends may call on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. before the service.  (www.jenkinskingfh.com)  In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to The Ansonia Boys & Girls Club.
