Beloved husband of Edith; loving father of Rick (Desiree), Fred and Linda (Bill) Hickey; devoted grandfather of Gina, Angela, Gerhard, Dottie and Chase; dear brother of Fredy Hofmeister and cherished cousin of Warren and Ken Mertineit. Josef loved to travel, go fishing and most of all spending time with his family. Friends may call at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Rd (Rt. 306, North of Mayfield Rd), Chesterland, OH 44026 on Friday, January 13, 2017, 4 to 7 p.m. and conclude with a Memorial Service at 7 p.m.
