Obituary for Mary C Mullen

Mary Wilson Mullen was born to Theodore Roosevelt Wilson and Lula Lee Varner Wilson on July 8, 1939. Mary was the youngest of eight children and was affectionately referred to by her mother as "my baby child".Mary (Mickey) attended East High School and was a member of the Robert Street Church of God family. She married and had a daughter, Celeste (Mitzi), then moved to Spokane, Washington, where her son Brian was born. When Mary and her family moved back to Akron she became ill and was hospitalized. Her parents, siblings and their spouses and family members provided loving care and support along with her caretakers.Mary was preceded in death by her son, Brian D. Mullen; her parents, Theodore Roosevelt Wilson and Lula Lee Varner Wilson; sister, Ruth W. Fort and brothers, Roger G. Wilson, Harold Wilson and Theodore (Buck) Wilson. She leaves to celebrate her life her daughter, Celeste A. Mullen; grandchildren, Alexis Lauren Richardson of Philadelphia, Pa. and Brandon Lawrence (Lauren) Richardson of Strongsville, Ohio; two great-granddaughters; sisters, Helen Goodwell of Houston, Thelma Ford of Atlanta and Delores Jean Wilson of Akron; and many loving nieces and nephews. Mary will be missed by friends and caretakers at Wayside Farm Nursing Home where she has been for over 20 years.Mary will be remembered for her sweet and loving personality. Thanks to all who contributed to the love and care Mary experienced in her life. Service will be held Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Arlington Church of God, 539 S.
