CUYAHOGA FALLS -- Babette Robinson, 89, passed away April 5, 2017 after battling her final short illness.
Babette was born on January 22, 1928 in Newark, N.J. and moved to the Cleveland area with her father where she met her high school sweetheart, Bob, whom she started a family with in Cuyahoga Falls. After his early passing she met the love of her life, Harold (Robbie).
Babette and Robbie were married on April 4, 1970. Babette was a volunteer with the Cuyahoga Falls Historical Society for many years. She loved traveling, gardening, her grandchildren and putting a smile on anyone''s face.
Babette was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Brown Pickering; first husband Robert Wasnac; her husband of 37 years and love of her life, Harold Robinson; and her son, Peter Wasnac. She is survived by her loving daughters, Kim Paradis (Jim Kleintop), Polly Roeder (Terry) and her best friend and granddaughter, Hannah Roeder. Babette is also survived by stepchildren, Dan (Penny) Robinson, Kathi Williams, Debbie (David) Violette; grandchildren, Don Williams (Sherry), Benjamin Paradis, Sarah Queen (Chris), Rachel Nelson, Emily Gaddis (Jake) and Andrew Wasnac, as well many great grandchildren, friends and family.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Brookdale Senior Living of Stow for the last years of Babette''s life. She enjoyed all the friends she made and was truly at home. She is now dancing in Heaven with Robbie.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 22 at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, where family and friends may call from noon until the time of service, Dr. Richard A. Hasler officiating. Final resting place Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to The Alzheimer''s Association, 70 W.
