CUYAHOGA FALLS -- Ruth A. Wimer, 89, passed away May 1, 2017. She was born in Akron and resided in Cuyahoga Falls.
Ruth graduated from North High School, going on to receive a nursing degree from Akron City School of Nursing. She was a devoted wife and mother, who loved being surrounded by her family.
Preceded in death by her husband, Don; daughter, Linda Ferrante; sisters, Helen Sullivan, Mary Nelson and Janice Edwards; she is survived by her daughters, Susan Wimer, Deidre Glenn (Gary), Tammy Wimer, Kathy Sangrik (Keith) and Michelle Tonkin (Bryan); grandchildren, Jeffrey, Brock, Rachel, Taylor, Nicole, Tori, Daniel and Joshua; three great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Sloan; sisters, Margie Buzzi and Carol Smith (Don).
Friends may call 2 hours prior to a 1 p.m. funeral service on Saturday, May 6, 2017 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221.
