Obituary for Rita Lushinsky
RITA LUSHINSKY YOUNGSTOWN - Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017, at 12:30 p.m. at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home, and 1 p.m. at St. Christine Church for Rita Lushinsky, 92, who passed away on May 8. She was born May 13, 1924, in Youngstown, daughter of Frank Markovich and Mary Pcholar. Rita was a graduate of East High School and worked as a bookkeeper for the Mahoning county Bureau of Support.
She belonged to St. Christine Church and was a lifelong member of the American Business Women’s Association and enjoyed aerobics. Surviving are two sons, Larry (Cathy Constance) Lushinsky of Sarasota, Fla. and Frank (Jill) Lushinsky of Columbus; a daughter, Linda Riazi (John) of Akron; a sister, Bernie Caro of Struthers; seven grandchildren, Amy Nedostup, Todd Lushinsky, Adam Riazi, Mina Riazi (Fulkman), Gabriel Riazi, Morgan Lushinsky and Jared Lushinsky; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter Lushinsky, whom she married Nov. 28, 1946; a brother, Frank Markovich; and two sisters, Martha Buccilli and Mary Ann Vicarel. Friends will be received on Friday, May 12, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home Inc. in Youngstown.
