Obituary for Beverly M Stertzbach

BEVERLY ''BECKY'' STERTZBACH SIMPSONVILLE, S.C. - Beverly “Becky” Stertzbach passed away peacefully April 7, 2017, in Simpsonville, while being cared for by in-home Lutheran Hospice. Becky was born Jan. 27, 1935, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Anthony J. and Agnes E. Swaneck. She settled in Simpsonville with her daughter, son-in-law, granddaughter and grandson. Her favorite hobbies were painting and gardening. Becky was an avid Ohio State fan and loved the Indians.

While working as head custodian within the Austintown Schools, Becky accomplished attaining president of the local representing union. During her time, she was key in achieving several retirement benefits. In retirement, Becky was employed by the Cleveland Browns.

Becky is survived by her daughter, Michele; and two grandchildren, Ashley and Zachery. She also leaves one sister and three brothers. Services will be held on Friday, April 28, 2017, at 1 p.m. at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, with the Rev. Ann Marie Winters celebrating Becky’s life. Family and friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made in her name to local hospice programs.
