Obituary for Mary Jane Mentzer
MARY JANE MENTZER“Together Again” NORTH JACKSON – Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, North Jackson Chapel for Mary Jane Mentzer, 92, who passed away Thursday at Briarfield Manor. Mary was born Feb. 12, 1925, in Carlisle, Pa., a daughter of the late David and Florence (Kingsboro) Dunkleburger. She was a sales clerk for JC Penny and a member of the Pricetown United Methodist Church. Mary was a member of the Caravan Travel Club and loved traveling with her husband in their Airstream trailer. She also enjoyed sewing and gardening.
Mary leaves her two sons, Gene S. (Debbie) Mentzer of Crooksville and Dennis B. Mentzer of North Jackson; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Pauline Hallenbaugh of Carlisle ; and a brother, Robert Dunkleburger of Carlisle. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Glenn A. Mentzer; a daughter, Carol Mentzer; a son, Timothy Mentzer; a sister, Janet Dunkleburger; and a brother, Benjamen Dunkleburger.
