Obituary for Verna C Baker

VERNA C. BAKER BOARDMAN – There will be a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 7, 2017, at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home in Boardman for Verna C. Baker, 83, who passed away peacefully on Sunday afternoon, April 2, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Aug. 2, 1933, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of Francis and Nora E. (Costella) Baker. Verna retired from PNC Bank in Pittsburgh after 20 years of service. She then came to Boardman and worked at TJ Maxx, where she became known as the “shoe lady.”

She will always be remembered lovingly by her four children, Patrick Baker of Pittsburgh, Nora (Bruce) Warshawsky of Kentucky, Sandy Reidenbaugh, and Eileen (Ken) Yates of Boardman; eight grandchildren, Justin and Erin Reidenbaugh, Megan and Andrew Warshawsky, Angela (Tyler) Bedford, Shannon (Matt) West, Chris Reidenbaugh (fiancée Michele), and Brian (Jenny) Warshawsky; and four great-grandchildren, Addilyn Reidenbaugh, Gabe and Andrew West, and Lennon Bedford. She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, Vivian Baker, Jimmy Baker and Mickey Baker.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman.
