Robert "Bob" E. Peters Sr. Robert Eugene Peters, Sr. (Bob), 85, went home to be with his Lord peacefully surrounded by his loving family on March 19, 2017. He is survived by his four children, Carol Hudak, (Vic), Robert Peters, (Teri), David Peters, (Tammy), Linda Ruggles, (Dean); along with 11 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Bob was a devoted husband of 62 years, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, and anything that included family and friends. He continued serving his local community as a decorated Cuyahoga Falls Police Officer and the "favorite study hall monitor ever" at Cuyahoga Falls High School. In retirement, after chasing bad guys for 30 years and locking them up in prison, he became an active member in the Kairos Prison Ministry bringing the light, love, and friendship of Jesus Christ to those in need of a Savior behind bars. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, 4 to 7 p.m., at the Anthony Funeral Home MCGOWAN-REID & SANTOS CHAPEL, 247 Stow Ave., (at Third St., one block north of Portage Trail in) Cuyahoga Falls. A funeral will take place on Thursday, 12 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls, 245 Portage Trail, where the family will again receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment with military honors will immediately follow at Chestnut Hill Memorial Gardens in Cuyahoga Falls.
