Obituary for Clara(Becky) Vance

CLARA JEAN “BECKY” VANCE (nee Beck) age 86, beloved wife of the late Robert; loving mother of Deborah Markell (husband John), Wendy Elzeer (husband John), Mark (wife Elizabeth) and the late Lynn Bukky (husband Ted); devoted grandmother of 8 and great-grandmother of 3; cherished daughter of the late Arthur and Ireta (nee Schwartz) Beck; dearest sister of the late Charles Beck (wife Eleanor); dear aunt and great-aunt.

Becky was born on July 28, 1930 in Westfield, New York and passed away on November 9, 2016. She was a resident of Wickliffe Brookdale for 6 months previously residing in Richmond Heights and Chardon. Becky was a member of Chardon United Methodist Church. She graduated from high school in New York and attended college in Buffalo, New York to become a nurse. Becky also worked in the Chardon Library. She was an avid reader and loved knitting. Becky will be remembered most as an outgoing and giving woman who had a sense of humor. Her family was very important to Becky and she loved to spend time with them.

Celebration of Life Service in memory of Becky will take place Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 10 AM at Chardon United Methodist Church 515 North St, Chardon, OH 44024. Private burial will take place at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Family will receive friends for a reception following the service at THE CHURCH. Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Arrangements by THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY OF CHARDON (formerly Ritondaro).
