Donald Allan Khoenle Donald Allan Khoenle, 87, born September 22, 1929, died March 8, 2017.A lifetime resident of Akron, Don graduated from Buchtel High School and attended the University of Akron. There he met and married his love, Joann Prather. They celebrated 51 years of marriage. Don retired from Ohio Edison after 47 years, and enjoyed golfing, gardening and painting throughout his life. Don is survived by his niece, Caroline (Hal) Himes of Akron; nephew, Dr. Charles (Dr. Paula) Groncy of Anaheim, CA; great-nieces, Rebecca (Steve) Miller, Kristin and Andrea Groncy; and great -great-nieces, Madeline and Olivia; great-great- nephew, Harrison; and his beloved church family of Fairlawn Lutheran Church; and his dear AA friends.Services will be held 11 a.m. SATURDAY at Fairlawn Lutheran Church, with Pastor James Gau officiating. Private interment at Mt. Peace Cemetery. Friends may call at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., FRIDAY from 5 to 7 p.m. and one hour before services Saturday at church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fairlawn Lutheran Church, 3415 W. Market St., Fairlawn, OH 44333.
