Obituary for Bernard J. Vincent

BERNARD “JACK” VINCENT age 88, beloved husband for 62 years of Leah Anne (nee Bill); loving father of Vicki Miller (husband Tony), Craig (wife Peggy), and Janet Dix (husband Rick); devoted grandfather of Danielle Hargett (husband Nick), Cara Miller, Randy Vincent (fiancee Karena), Renee Beamer (husband Dylon), Reyna and Robyn Vincent, Jacob, Jeremy and Justin Dix and great-grandfather of Olive and Andrew Jack Hargett; cherished son of the late Edward T. and Louisa Bernice (nee Thorne) Vincent; dearest brother of the late George Vincent; dear uncle. U.S. Air Force Veteran.

Jack was born on February 17, 1929 in Cleveland and passed away on March 9, 2017. He was a resident of Willoughby Hills for 60 years, formerly of Cleveland. Jack was a member of The Little Church in the Vale for over 50 years where he was a Christian Service Brigade leader and served as an elder. He was a board member emeritus of Stony Glen Camp and a member of the Board of Zoning Appeals of Willoughby Hills. Jack graduated from East Tech High School and was a manager of Telecommunications infrastructure at Ohio Bell. He worked for the Cleveland City Mission in his retirement. Jack loved photography, sports car rallies and was a Cleveland Indians fan. He will be remembered most as a great American who served God, community and family. Jack was giving and caring with a sense of humor. He will be dearly missed.

Celebration of Life Service with Military Honors THURSDAY March 16, 2017 at 11 AM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Burial following at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Jack at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) WEDNESDAY 4-8 PM
