Obituary for Irene M. Clyde
Irene M. Clyde, 87 of Chesterland, died peacefully on February 2, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Harold B. Clyde.
Irene is survived by her son, Andrew Clyde (Mary); her daughter, Karen Gibson (Brian); 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren, and her partner, Dan Just.
Born on December 6th, 1929, Irene earned her B.S. degree from Findlay College, her R.N. license from St. Luke''s, and her Master degree from Kent State. Irene practiced nursing at St. Luke''s, Highland View, and Geauga Hospitals, prior to her long career as Professor of Nursing at Mt. Sinai Hospital and Cuyahoga Community College. Her interests included playing bridge with friends and world travel.
A memorial service to celebrate Irene''s life will be held at Christ Presbyterian Church, 12419 Chillicothe Rd., Chesterland OH 44026, on March 10th at 1 p.m.
