Obituary for Marianna Abdell
ABDELL-Marianna (Guernieri) passed away on March 6, 2017, three days' shy of her 104th birthday. In her last days, as during her life, she charmed those around her with her warmth, sweetness and sense of humor. Marianna was born in South Ryegate,VT. The family moved to East Boston and then to Framingham, MA but Marianna spent most of her adult life in Brookline, MA, with her husband George, raising their 3 sons. Marianna and George met at his factory, Dickie-Blouse of Boston. Left to cherish her memory is her devoted son Roger Abdell of Newton, MA; her son Douglas Abdell and his wife Maria of Malaga, Spain; her grandson Anibal Abdell of Malaga, Spain; her niece Donna and nephew Paul; her daughter-in-law Marilyn and our good friend Betty who was her devoted caregiver up to the last moments. Ms. Abdell was predeceased by her husband George, Sr. and her son George, Jr. and her sisters Linda, Elda, and Ida and her younger brother Frank and Roger's partner David. A private graveside service will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017. There will be a celebration of her life sometime this spring.
