Obituary for Robert D. Willis
April 8, 1933 - February 20, 2017Robert Delano Willis attended Akron Public Schools and he attended the University of Akron. Robert was a member of The House of the Lord. He also served in the U.S. Army from 1950-1953, honorably discharged.Robert was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lula Willis; his first wife, Alice Willis; sister, Delores Smallwood; and granddaughter, Taylor Lee.He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted and loving wife and caregiver, Sylvia; loving and devoted daughter, Robyn Delanie (Marcus) McKinney; sons, Mark (Dorothea) Dingle, Dietrich (Denise) Delaney; grandchildren, Mark Jr. and Maceo; great-granddaughter, Madison; brothers, Richard Willis, of Berea, Ohio, and Clarence Willis, of Manhattan, N.Y.; sisters, Beatrice Willis, of Mt. Clair, N.J., and Roxy (Paul) Rozier, of Brooklyn, NY.Service will be held Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 12 Noon at the House of The Lord, 1650 Diagonal Rd., Akron, OH 44320, Bishop F. Josephus Johnson II eulogizing. Interment Mt. Peace Cemetery.
