Mrs. Ann Lane Gates, retired Akron Public Schools administrator, peacefully transitioned into glory on February 5, 2017 surrounded by family. Her services will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at The House of the Lord, 1650 Diagonal Rd., Akron, Ohio 44320. Calling hours are 10 a.m. to 12 noon followed by a Celebration of her Life and Legacy immediately following at 12 noon; Rev. Dr. Ronald J. Fowler, eulogizing; and Rev. Curtis A. Minter, officiating.The Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Omega Omega service will be held Friday, February 10, 2017, 7 p.m. at Stewart and Calhoun Funeral Home, 529 W.
