Obituary for Esma M Elliott
ESMA MADELINE TAYLOR ELLIOTT SLIGO, PA. – Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 14, at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel for Esma Madeline Taylor Elliott, 88, formerly of Austintown Township, who passed away peacefully on Friday, Feb. 10, at Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Sligo. Esma was born Nov. 4, 1928, in New Bethlehem, Pa., the daughter of Roy Lee and Maude (Henry) Taylor and came to the Youngstown area in 1953. She worked as a bookkeeper for Bertolini Brothers Company and Youngstown Pontiac and Toyota, retiring in 1986. She was a member of the Austintown Community Church and she was also a long-time member of the Ladies Aid Quilters at the church.
Her husband Edward “Gene” Elliott, whom she married June 20, 1953, passed away May 26, 2007. Esma leaves her daughter, Connie Lee Gabrielli of Montrose, Colo.; a sister, Bonnie Taylor of Sligo; as well as many other relatives and friends. Besides her parents and husband, Esma was preceded in death by three brothers, Warren, William, and Connel Taylor; and one sister Wanda Buzzard. Friends may call from 5 to 6 p.m., tonight and again on Tuesday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, where services will be held at 5 p.m. Private burial will take place on Wednesday at Green Haven Memorial Gardens.
