Obituary for Edward Doerge

Edward Willis Doerge, 96, of Lake Worth, Florida, formerly of Painesville, passed away on May 10, 2015 surrounded by his loving family.
Edward attended Collinwood High School in Cleveland and worked as a Lather in the commercial construction industry. He was an avid reader of the civil war, philosophy and religion, he enjoyed gardening, also a lover of birds, squirrels and rescue kittens.
Mr. Doerge served our nation proudly in three different branches of service during World War II. Merchant Marines 1940-1942. U.S. Navy 1942-1943 and the U.S. Army 1943-1946. His sacrifices helped this nation to become one of the greatest on Earth.
Mr. Doerge is survived by his loving wife, Mary R. Doerge of Lake Worth; daughter, Andrea (Joseph) Goldberg of Lake Worth; brother, Mike Doerge of Montville; grandchildren, Midge, Lisa and Jodi.
Edward is preceded by his siblings, Millie and Birdie.
A memorial service will be held at a later date for family and friends in Lake County, Ohio.

Inurnment will take place at South Florida National Cemetery on May 27, 2015 at 10:30 a.m.
