Obituary for Betty B Kershaw

Betty Barbara (Fier) Kershaw, 93, passed away Friday January 27, 2017 at The Pines in Canton. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be deeply missed by family and friends. Betty was born April 20, 1923 in Cleveland, the daughter of the late Josephine and August Fier. Betty was married to her true soulmate, Richard A. Kershaw on September 11, 1943 and they were together for 43 years until his death in May of 1987. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Lillian and her great granddaughter, Annika Quinn Schneider.

She is survived by her children, Richard A. (Gladys) Kershaw Jr., David A. (Sandra) Kershaw, James W. (Janet) Kershaw, Cynthia D. (Tod) Schneider and Janet M. (Herbert) Appleton; 15 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 12 noon Wednesday February 1, 2017 at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060 where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday.

Interment will be at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chesterland.
