Obituary for Jason B Cooper

Jason Burr Cooper, age 46, of Madison, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Cardinal Woods Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born March 17, 1970 in Willoughby to Judson Burr and Nancy Jane (Linton) Cooper.
Jason was a great skier, but at 16 he was involved in a car accident and experienced a traumatic brain injury which left him paralyzed. Upon recovery he developed a most beautiful smile, and it looked like God smiling right through him. His caregivers would tell him, "We just came by here to see if we can get a smile from you Jason." And through his hardship, he encouraged others. One could tell by his expressions that he knew what was going on, and that God was with him.
He is survived by his parents; brother, Tyler Cooper; aunts, Phyllis Niebes, Laurel Linton; uncle, Mark (Joyce) Linton; special family friend, Thomas "Flake" Vannoy; and many loving cousins.
Friends will be received 12 to 1 p.m. Wed., January 25, 2017, at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio. A Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m., celebrated by Pastor Kelly Irish.
Final Resting Place will be Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chesterland.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Cardinal Woods for the wonderful care given to Jason.
