Carrie Sue Smith
Carrie Sue Smith, 64, of Akron passed away November 3, 2016 at her residence. She was born June 20, 1952 in Akron, the daughter of Franklin and Marguerite E. (Butler) Wohlford. On October 13, 1973 she married
Kenneth W. Smith; together they shared 38 years of marriage.
Carrie lived in Cuyahoga Falls for a while, then eventually moved to Tallmadge, where she graduated high school. She worked for Big Lots for over 13 years and did a small stint as a home health aid before retiring.
Carrie was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin and Marguerite; husband, Kenneth; brothers, Ronald H., Phillip P., and Fredrick A. Wohlford; and sister, Betty L. Wohlford (Buerge). She is survived by her son, Wayne E. Smith; daughter, Jennifer (Eddie) Redfern; brother, Bill (Lori) Wohlford of Mogadore; sister, Nancy (Bob) Carey of Massillon; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Adams Mason Funeral Home (791 E. Market Street, Akron), with services to follow at 2 p.m.
