Obituary for Gloria Ogram

GLORIA S. OGRAM POLAND – Gloria S. Ogram, 88, died Friday evening, Dec. 23, 2016, at Shepherd of the Valley in Boardman. Gloria was born Aug. 18, 1928, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Vincenzo and Bettina (Savastano) Granito. She was a 1946 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and attended Youngstown College of Business. Mrs. Ogram was employed as a bank teller for Dollar Savings & Trust Co. in the main office at Federal Plaza in downtown Youngstown. She retired on Aug. 31, 1983, and was a member of the Dollar Bank Retirees. Mrs. Ogram was also a member of the Poland United Methodist Church and the Christian Women’s Association. Gloria enjoyed traveling with her husband throughout the years, playing bridge with friends, and golfing and bowling in her younger years. Her husband, James E. Ogram, whom she married on Sept. 4, 1954, preceded her in death on Feb. 23, 2010. She is survived by two daughters, Lynda (Robert) Youmans of Stanfordville, N.Y., and Cathy Ogram of Norfolk, Va.; two grandsons, Jay (Leigh) Youmans and Drew Youmans; three stepgrandchildren, Amber (Jason) Hall, Jennifer (Will) Youmans-Smith, and Erik (Heather) Youmans; one great-grandson, Jack Youmans; and four step-great-grandchildren, Nathaniel and Jace Hall, Logan Smith, and Parker Youmans. In addition to her parents and husband, Gloria was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Rudy Granito; and her sister, Florence Graves. A memorial service will be held Friday, Jan. 13, 2017, at 5 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland Chapel, 270 N. Main St., where family and friends will be received on Friday from 4 to 4:45 p.m., prior to the service. Interment will be at Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Canfield. The family suggests that any memorial tributes take the form of contributions in Mrs. Ogram’s name to Angels for Animals, 4750 State Route 165, Canfield, OH 44406
