George E. Adams, age 84, beloved husband for 38 years of Randi (nee MacDonald); loving father of Debbie Cattell (husband Chuck), Sandy
Benjamin (husband Gary), George (wife Debbie) and stepfather of Bonnie Taylor; devoted grandfather of Jennifer, Jamie, John, Kala, Paige, Meaghan, Andy and great-grandfather of Emma, Kashton and Lydia; cherished son of the late
Peter and Julia (nee Bellay); dearest brother of Elizabeth Gaydos (husband Joseph deceased), Steve (wife
Suzanne), Tom (wife Frances), Barb Kolat (husband John), Dorothy Shuppe (husband Mike) and the late Mary
Sepski (husband John), John (wife Ethel deceased) and Pete (wife Arlene deceased); treasured brother-in-law of Virginia and Donald Scott; dear uncle of Heather, Megan, Bobby, great-uncle of Graham, and uncle of many other nieces and nephews. U.S. Army Veteran.
George was born on October 18, 1932 and raised in Bobtown, PA and passed away on January 5, 2017. He was a 17 year resident of Chesterland previously residing in Mentor. George was a 30 year retired employee of Republic/ LTV Steel. George was a classic car enthusiast and loved to refurbish cars. He was an avid reader of current events and he listened to country western music. George loved football and baseball and his Golden Retrievers. He never left the house without a Golden in the backseat of his car. Everybody loved George, he was very outgoing and he never met a stranger. George was clever, humorous, witty, and loved to make people smile. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at St. Anselm Catholic Church at 10 a.m.. Burial following with Military Honors at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of George at The DeJohn Funeral Home & Celebrations Center of Chesterland 12811 Chillicothe Road (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) Tuesday 3-5 & 6-8 p.m.
