Rev. John Baker Brown Sr. 1923-2016Rev. John Baker Brown Sr., who would embrace a lifelong commitment to serving God, family, community, and country, was born in 1923 in Akron, Ohio. The oldest of six children of Homer William Brown Sr. and Mary Bedell Brown, he graduated from East High School and went to work at Goodyear Aircraft.Home Going celebration will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul AME Church, 1250 S. Hawkins Ave., Akron, Ohio 44320. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service, Pastor Deniela T. Williams, eulogizing; Pastor Bruce Butcher officiating. Interment at Mt.
