IRMA JEAN DOMBROWSKI AUSTINTOWN - Irma Jean Dombrowski, 82, entered into rest on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2014, at her residence. Irma was born on Aug. 25, 1932, in Kansas, the daughter of Charles J. and Leota H. Dornes Redinger. She graduated from Hubbard High School on May 23, 1951. After graduation, Irma obtained employment at the YMCA in Youngstown. Irma was united in marriage to Walter Dombrowski on May 16, 1959, in the First Methodist Church in Hubbard. Irma devoted her life to her husband and their sons, Walter Jr. and Michael. She enjoyed her time with the family. The family spent time boating, skiing and traveling to Ocean City, Md., to relax on the beach and swim in the ocean. As grandchildren entered the family, Irma would include them in the family outings and would celebrate every birthday and holiday season with them. Irma had an outgoing personality. She was a true friend to many and all will remember her infectious laugh and good humor. Irma belonged to many clubs which included the garden club, card club, craft club and the bowling league. She was very good at crafts and made many holiday gifts for family members and for the young children she knew. Irma loved the opportunity to travel with girlfriends to New York City to shop and attend Broadway shows. Another favorite place for the girlfriends to travel was to Atlantic City to play the slot machines. In the local area, she would go to garage sales, flea markets and outlet stores, where she could always find a gift to give to someone. Many cherished memories of Irma will be remembered by her family, her husband, Walter; her sons and daughter-in-law, Walter, Jr. and Jeannette Dombrowski, and Michael Dombrowski; her grandsons, Eric M. Dombrowski, Jacob P. Dombrowski and Cameron M. Dombrowski, and most recently, the granddaughter she always wished for, Claire Dombrowski; and her sisters, Elsie Benton and Bonnie Tannenbaum. Irma was preceded by her parents; her sister, Janice Boyd; and her brothers, Marvin Leonard Redinger and Charles Jacob Redinger. The family will meet friends on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls.
