Obituary for Jon Raymond Cheney

Jon Raymond Cheney, age 57, of Terryville, died September 14, 2016.  Born in Hartford on December 24, 1958, he was the son of Barbara Friss Cheney of Seymour and the late Raymond W. Cheney.  Mr. Cheney worked as a painter for the Bender Supply and Farrel Companies for several years, as well as working many other jobs. He enjoyed, fishing and boating, NASCAR and attending Van Jams, and was an avid motorcycle enthusiast.  In addition to his mother, he is survived by his devoted sisters, Kim (Tom) Ferencz of Bethany; Nancy (John) Ruggiers of Waterbury, and Linda (Michael) Chouinard of Waterbury; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He is also survived by his best friend, William “Bill” Luddy of Plantsville.  A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 10:00 AM  in the Church of the Assumption, 61 N.Cliff Street,Ansonia.

Internment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia. The Wakelee Memoria Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia is in care of the arrangements.
