Obituary for Kevin Socha

KEVIN STEVEN SOCHA CANFIELD - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12, at St. Christine Parish, 3165 Schenley Ave. in Youngstown for Kevin Steven Socha, 24, who died unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday. Kevin was born Aug. 25, 1992, in Youngstown, a son of Stanley S. Socha and Donna J. Pittman Socha, and was a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Canfield High School in 2010, and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Youngstown State University in 2015.
Kevin was working as a mechanical project engineer for Simmers Crane Design and Services for the past year and a half. He was a member of St. Christine Parish, enjoyed fishing, shooting at the range, gaming, watching movies, but especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

Kevin also enjoyed spending time in his workshop and as an engineer, could fix and repair anything. Besides his parents, Stan and Donna Socha of Canfield, he leaves two brothers, Daniel Socha of Cleveland and Stan Socha of Canfield; his maternal grandmother, Susan Moody of Boardman; and great-grandmother Marie Minster of Colorado. Kevin also leaves his two, beloved Italian Greyhounds, Bucky and Lucy. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Russ Pittman; and maternal grandmother, Marie Wisniewski.
