Danny was born September 28, 1949 in Houston and was a lifelong resident of Lafayette. He met the love of his life, Fran Aertker, and together, they pursued a common goal of following Jesus Christ and raising a family of faith. Danny’s desire was to see others come to know Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Danny was an oil and gas attorney in Lafayette, was active in Gideon''s International and served as a deacon at First Baptist Lafayette. He lived his life sharing his faith through Sunday School, Dale Carnegie classes, and Scripture Vitamins, a class he created about God’s Word.

Despite health challenges of throat cancer and most recently, Alzheimer’s and Multiple Systems Atrophy, Danny continued to trust in God’s plan for his life. He was an inspiration to all who met him with his positive attitude and humble spirit.

Danny is survived by his wife (Fran); his three children, Cullen Griffin Barbato (Sarah) of Atlanta, GA, Lindley Barbato Palmer (Greg) of Orlando, FL, and Sarah Brooks Barbato of Lafayette; his siblings, Barbara Barbato of Kingwood, TX, Don Barbato (Betty) of Kingwood, TX, and Daryl Barbato (Kim) of Brunei; his five grandchildren, Jackson Luca Barbato, Gregory Lee Palmer, III, Anne Calvert Palmer, Emily Claire Barbato, and Daniel Hampton Palmer; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luca Barbato and Dorothy Griffin Barbato.

Pallbearers will be Daryl Barbato, Don Barbato, Jack Barbato, Ken Burgess, Howie Dennis, David Kaufman, Greg Palmer, Jr., Lee Palmer, III and Chris Verret.
