Obituary for Ella Mae Mallory

ELLAMAE MALLORY “Together Again” AUSTINTOWN - Ellamae Mallory, 85, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016. Born May 26, 1931, in Youngstown, she was the daughter of Stanley and Geraldine (Cowher) Jones. Mrs. Mallory was a homemaker. She was a member of the Austintown Community Church, Youngstown Country Club, and the Phi Lambda Sorority. She was an avid shopper and enjoyed her shopping trips with all her girls. She also loved the yearly family vacation in Deep Creek, Md. Survivors include her children, Kimberly (Samuel) Amendolara, Richard Scott (Lori) Mallory, Amy (Doug) Shaffer, Laurie (Joe) Keller, and Stacie (Terry) Helminiak; grandchildren Chase (Leah), Mallory (John David), Taylor, Jacob, Kaitlin, Samantha (Kevin), Katie, Laine, Michael, Bree, Cassie, Hunter, Magie, Callie, and Tessa; and great-grandchild Adelynn. Also surviving are Jill, Pat, Kelsey (Alex), Jenny, and Jack Bresnahan, and Jeff, Jen, Alec, and Mya Hamilton, whom she considered children and grandchildren of her own. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her high-school sweetheart and husband of 63 years, Richard A. Mallory, who died on March 2, 2016; and a grandson, Mathew Shaffer. Friends will be received at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel today from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Austintown Community Church, 242 S. Canfield-Niles Road on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016, at 10 a.m., with Pastor Mark Nelson officiating. Friends may also call one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place at Green Haven Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Austintown Community Church.
