Obituary for Cecil Campbell

CECIL P. CAMPBELL COLUMBIANA- Cecil P. Campbell, 72, died on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, at Salem Regional Medical Center. He was born on Feb. 12, 1944, in Montreal, Canada, one of six children to the late Duncan and Mary White Campbell. Cecil was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served during the Vietnam War. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Columbiana.
He enjoyed traveling and genealogy. Mostly, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by a daughter, Margret Campbell of Norway; two sons, Matthew (Kristin) of Boardman and Shawn (Shannon) Campbell of Winston-Salem, N.C.
Also surviving are four grandchildren, Cathleen, Aden, Shane and Stella Campbell. Cecil was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Fields Campbell. The family will receive friends on Monday, Oct. 3, 2016, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home in Columbiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Jude Catholic Church on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016, at 10:30 a.m., with Father Christopher Cicero officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cecil’s memory to the Rich Center for Autism, 1 University Plaza, Youngstown, OH 44555.
