Obituary for Milford Huntington
In Loving Memory of Jake Huntington, 92, who passed away on Sept. 25, 2016 at Hospice House, surrounded by love ones. Born Sept. 13,1924 in Howard, PA., he had been an Ohio resident since 1948.
A decorated WWII, U.S. Army Veteran, 80th Tank Battalion, 8th Armored Div, European Campaign. Purple Heart recipient, DAV & VFW Life member. He worked many years at the GM Plant on Coit Rd. as a welder. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and boater. He loved the outdoors and spending time with his family. He enjoyed exercising and competing in Senior Olympics.
He was the loving husband of Janet (nee Wagner) Huntington for 66 yrs; father to Dale (Sandra) Huntington; David (Benita) Huntington; Kathleen (Frank) Kaczmarek; loving grandfather of 8 and great-grandfather of 16.
A military funeral honors ceremony will be held on Saturday, Oct. 1, at 10:30 a.m. at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens. Contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Western Reserve.
