Obituary for Jeanette Berenda Hein

Jeanette May (Berenda) Hein, 84 of Seymour formerly of Beacon Falls and Oxford, beloved wife of the late William H. Hein, Sr., entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Shady Knoll Health Center, Seymour, surrounded by her loving family. Jeanette was born on February 27, 1930 in Derby, CT daughter of the late John and Julia (Lazarko) Berenda.Jeanette graduated from Seymour High School Class of 1947. She worked in Sales at King's Department Store until her retirement. Jeanette enjoyed feeding the birds and wildlife. She was an avid homemaker and loved to cook and spend time with her family and friends. Jeanette will be sadly missed by all and will forever remain in our hearts.
Her loving family includes a caring son William H. Hein, Jr. and his wife Maureen of Oxford, two devoted daughters Brenda Ives of Beacon Falls and Susan DeScheen of Winter Haven, FL., three cherished grandchildren Marlene Gorniak and her husband Allen, William H. Hein III and John J. Hein, a cherished great-grandson Matthew J. Merritt, a loving sister Judy Cannon and her husband William of Ansonia, a caring niece Stacey Cronk as well as several other loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving son-in-law Raymond DeScheen, her beloved brother John Berenda and a beloved niece Lisa Wolf.
A Funeral Service in Celebration of Jeanette’s Life will be held on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 5:00 pm in the Chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street (RT 67, across from Klarides Village) Seymour, with the Reverend Leo McIlrath, Chaplain of The Lutheran Home, officiating. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Friday, December 5, 2014 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Interment in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Expressions of sympathy in Jeanette's memory may be made to The Alzheimer's Association, through the funeral home.
