Obituary for Homer C Baun

HOMER C. BAUN BOARDMAN – Homer C. Baun, 91, passed away Saturday morning, Sept. 10, 2016, with his family by his side. He was born April 8, 1925, in Indiana, Pa., the son of the late Clyde E. and Violet (White) Baun. Homer was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II. He worked for US Steel and later was a member of the Teamsters, working for Royal Crown Cola in Youngstown for several years.

Homer was a member of the Christ Church Presbyterian and was a mason with the Western Star Lodge No. 21 F.A.&M. Homer is survived by his wife of 67 years, the former Irene F. Snyder, whom he married on Sept. 19, 1949; three children, Don (Betty) Baun of Perrysville, Curtis (Erica) Baun and Jennifer Baun of Boardman; three grandchildren, Bill and Amy Amendol of Boardman, Scott and Jessica Baun of Clovis, N.M. and Cari Baun of St Croix; and five great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, Homer was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Baun and Richard Baun.
