Betty Mae Newman 86, of Akron, died September 3, 2016 surrounded by her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Newman. Betty is survived by her children, Sandy (Ronnie) Stephanoff, Sue (Richard) McPherson, Bob (Maria), Donald (Marilyn), Diane (Eddie) Czerwinski Jeff (Linda) and Daniel (Kathy) Newman; grandchildren, Angela, Jonathan S., Kristie, Shannon, Ryan, Andrea, Alex, Dustin, Jonathan N., Corey and Jennifer; great-grandchildren Tony, Jason, Nate, Jackson, Delaney, Tori, Lani, Riley, Sterling, Dodge, Tripp, Rachael and Carter and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon (family will receive friends one hour prior) Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Hummel Funeral Home, 500 E. Exchange St., with Rev. Dr. Bob Denton officiating. Interment at Mount Peace Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice in memory of Betty
