Obituary for Daniel Grieco
DANIEL GRIECO SR BOARDMAN - Daniel Grieco Sr., 90, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 25, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Feb. 1, 1926, in Youngstown, the son of Anthony and Mary (Mancini) Grieco. Daniel courageously served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked at General Motors.
Daniel will always be remembered lovingly by his wife, the former Elsie Robinson, whom he married on Jan. 13, 1945; two sons, Daniel (Patricia) Grieco Jr. of Pittsburgh and Anthony (Patricia) Grieco of Austintown; seven grandchildren, Christine (David) Sgro, Shaun (Michelle) McHattie, Brian McHattie, Tammy Grieco, Stephen Grieco, William Kuhley, and Heather (Gary) Thullen; son-in-law Dave McHattie; 12 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Alice Garramone and Dorothy Manley.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter Mary Ann McHattie; and sister Mary Henick. There will be no calling hours or services. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman.
