Obituary for Helen E Speziale

HELEN E. SPEZIALE“Together Again” YOUNGSTOWN – There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 29, 2016, at St. Luke Church in Boardman, with the Rev. Gerald DeLucia celebrating the life of Helen E. Speziale, 96, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July, 26, 2016. She was born April 28, 1920, in Campbell, the daughter of Joseph and Agata (Tirrabassi) Pantaleo. Helen worked at the War Arsenal during World War II and then became a self-employed hairdresser for 30 years. She was a member of St. Charles Church. She was president of ITAM Post No. 3 and a member of the Casa Sovia Club. She enjoyed cooking.

Her husband, Joseph S. Speziale, whom she married on Nov. 24, 1945, passed away on Aug. 28, 2005. Helen will always be remembered lovingly by her daughter, Shirley (Chuck) Peebles of Boardman; two grandsons, Charles Peebles and Brian (Amy) Peebles; great-granddaughter Emily Violet; sister Mary Ann Toti; and sister-in-law Mary Pantaleo. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Ann Morgione, Lucy DiGidio and Ida Speziale; and brother Tony Pantaleo. Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. on Friday, July 29, at St. Luke Church, prior to the Mass. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Boardman, OH 44512.
