Obituary for John D'Agostino


John C. “Charlie” D’Agostino, 77, entered into eternal rest on July 12, 2016, at Griffin Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Mary Kennedy D’Agostino. Mr. D’Agostino was born in Derby on Oct. 21, 1938, son of the late John “Charlie” and Clara White D’Agostino. A resident of Ansonia for 50 years, he was employed at Northeast Stihl in Shelton and later in the cafeteria at Ansonia High School, until his retirement. John honorably served in the U.S. Army. In addition to his wife Mary, he is survived by a loving daughter, Sherri Nimons and her husband Mark, grandson, John C. Nimons, step­grandson, Mark M. Nimons, all of Ansonia and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph D’Agostino and a sister, Evelyn Lapota. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Saturday July 23, 2016, at 1:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1 Platt Road in Shelton.
