Obituary for David R. Baker, Sr.
NILES - David R. Baker Sr., 62, died at 8:25 p.m. on Tuesday May 31, 2016 at the Liberty Health Care Center following a long illness.
He was born in Warren on November 6, 1953 the son of George and Mary (Brewer) Baker Sr. He retired on July 9, 2012 after working as a laborer for 38 years at RMI Company.
He was an active member of the Army and Navy Garrison #252 and the Amvets Post #106 both of Niles.
David is survived by his wife Carla (Skeins) Baker whom he married on July 7, 2009; his father, George Baker Sr. and his wife Mary of Niles; daughter, Lisa Baker of Warren; two sons, David (Melinda) Baker Jr. and Brian Baker both of Niles; three step-daughters, Brandy Hunyady of Niles, Krystal (Bruce) Dozier of Hubbard, Rebecca Hunyady of Niles; step-son, Christopher Hunyady of Niles; 17 grandchildren; three sisters, Judy Ann Dupler of Florida, Patricia Kuhn of Mineral Ridge, Tracy Eckrote of Mineral Ridge; three brothers, George Baker Jr. of Grandville, Gregory Baker of Niles, Thomas Baker of McDonald. He was preceded in death by his mother; sister, Mary Alice McCarley and brother, James Baker. At his request there are no calling hours and services.
