Obituary for Anna M Melone

ANNA M. MELONE STRUTHERS - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, July 1, at 1 p.m. at the Christ Our Savior Parish/St. Nicholas Church in Struthers for Anna M. Melone, 85, who passed away Tuesday evening at Hospice House in Poland. Anna was born March 18, 1931, in Youngstown, a daughter of Alois and Maria Bindel Frank. She lived in the area her whole life and worked as a manager of the billing department at Isaly’s Dairy.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Christ Our Savior Parish/St. Nicholas Church, where she worked the festival, bingo, and was a room mother at the school. She enjoyed bingo, going to casinos and she loved to go to her cottage at Lake Milton, surrounded by her family. Anna married Paul D. Melone on Oct. 2, 1954.
Besides her husband, she leaves four children, Maryann Bartko of Hubbard, Paul D. (Tammy) Melone Jr. of Struthers, Kathy (Dale) Haag of Poland, and Julie (Gary) Meehan of Lake Milton; one sister, Margot Bednar of Poland; seven grandchildren, Dale (Sarah), Sarah (Rob), Melanie (Jason), Becky (Dave), Vincent, Collin, and Jay; and five great-grandchildren, Audrey, Savannah, Trent, Izabelle, and Amelia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Rita and her husband, Dick McBurney; a brother-in-law, Bo Bednar; and a son-in-law, Jerry Bartko. Friends may call today, Thursday, June 30, from 4 to 7 p.m. and on Friday from noon to 12:45 p.m. at the Christ Our Savior Parish/St. Nicholas Church in Struthers.
