Obituary for Ernestine D Simcox

ERNESTINE D. FOGLE SIMCOX AUSTINTOWN TOWNSHIP - Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel for Ernestine D. Fogle Simcox, 95, who passed away late Monday evening at Vista Care Center at the Ridge. Ernestine was born Nov. 24, 1920, in Lost City, W.Va., the daughter of the late Herbert and Margaret (Peer) Fogle. She came to the area in the early 1940s from West Virginia and lived in Austintown for most of that time.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and a member of the Zion Lutheran Church. She enjoyed reading, watching TV, going shopping and out to dinner, but most importantly, Ernestine loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her dog, Holly.

Her husband, Wilbert A. Simcox, whom she married Aug. 25, 1944, passed away March 18, 2001. Ernestine leaves four children, Chip Simcox of Farmdale, Celesta (Bob) Dennison of Austintown, Stephanie Simcox of Howland, and Marguerite (Muggsie) Simcox of Farmdale; three grandchildren, Matthew (Colette) Dennison, Michael (Connie) Simcox, and Timothy (Adi) Simcox; as well as four great-grandchildren, Mikaela Simcox, Joshua Simcox, Mackenzie, Dennison, and Benjamin Dennison. Besides her husband and parents, Ernestine was preceded in death by a brother, Elwood Fogle.
